The first step is an initial call to determine if we are a good fit to work together. This allows me to understand your concerns and needs, while you learn about my evaluation process. If I am not the best match, I will provide referrals to other professionals who may be better suited.
If we decide to move forward, we will have a more in-depth consultation call. Here we will discuss your specific concerns in detail, allowing me to propose an appropriate evaluation plan. After this, you will complete intake paperwork and testing contracts, and provide a deposit.
This step involves collecting relevant background information through observations, interviews with parents/teachers/student, rating scales, work samples, and records review. This comprehensive data gives context to the testing.
I will conduct an individualized assessment with your child through face-to-face testing sessions. Standardized measures will evaluate areas like cognition, academics, memory, processing, and social/emotional skills.
After testing, I will score the assessment measures and integrate all the data collected from observations, interviews, ratings, and testing results. This will paint a complete picture of your child's strengths and areas of need.
In our feedback session, I will review the results from the evaluation, explain my diagnostic conclusions, and provide recommendations tailored to your child's profile. We will discuss next steps and create a plan to best support your child's needs moving forward.
